Pizza Night

Hello party people! It's Friday, and that means we are eating homemade pizza tonight. This is my favorite family ritual. I don't have to think what to cook. The kids love it. We all eat together and light candles at the table. It's a great way to set the tone for the weekend.

Below is the new pizza crust recipe I've started making. I changed it up from my old faithful because this recipe makes enough dough for two pizzas. I can make one and freeze the other half of the dough. The best part is I only have to make pizza dough every other Friday. I jotted down the recipe and taped it to the inside of my pantry door.

Speaking of Friday night, I like it to be different from a regular old week night. We have found this takes effort and planning. So instead of our usual get in the bed at 8 and watch re-runs of The Office, we sit on the couch and watch a movie - or a documentary - something different!

This slight change in nightly routine makes all the difference! It makes me feel like we actually have a "weekend." And even if the movie we pick out turns out to be a let down, we have something funny to talk about the next day. It's hysterical the inside jokes Capt' Steve and I have come up with from subpar films.

We are big fans of Netflix Instant. Only 8 bucks a month and worth every dime.
