Easter Eggs

What would one's childhood be like without dyeing Easter eggs?

Terrible. It would be a terrible childhood.

We dyed eggs on Monday. This activity was a bright spot in an otherwise ugly week.
This young man is fast and furiously approaching the terrible threes. His b-day is next month.

Yep, we are hanging in there. But it's not pretty.

Egg dying was therapeutic for us both.

They are SO happy sitting in a bowl by the window.

We made extra and took a carton over to Aunt Lu's.

  1. Your eggs are beautiful! I'm glad your otherwise ugly week had a bright spot...hang in there :) I agree with your statement: a childhood without dyeing eggs is no childhood at all. In fact, I still dye eggs with my mom. I found an idea on Pinterest that said Kool-Aid works really well. That's what we're going with this year; we'll see how they turn out! Hope your little man settles down for the remainder of the week, friend!

  3. This makes me so happy. My mom would always buy that same Paas kit for us each year to dye eggs. Except one year they were sold out of it and she had to buy a different brand. Easter wasn't quite the same that year :)

  5. He's a doll even if he's in the terrible threes!! Chuck used to talk about children being "alarmingly good" (and that's not a good thing). At least SS isn't that!!

    Beautiful eggs!
