4 Sweet Months {re-written}

I wrote this post the other day and then it went missing into outer space. Kinda scary how that can happen.

So I'm re-writing it. But I don't remember what I said exactly. I do know it was about Laurie turning 4 months old on May 10th. In the original post I referred to her as Laurie Betty. My mom was so confused by that. It's short for Laurie Elizabeth. I just shortened it to Laurie Betty. Sorry for any confusions.

I took both children to the Dr. for the first time {together} the other morning. For my own records, here are their stats:

Stephen
weight: 27 lbs {40%}
height: 34' 1/2'' {45 %}

Laurie
weight: 15.3 lbs {80%}
height: 25' 1/4'' {85%}

Laurie is growing, laughing, playing, crafting. Okay, kidding. She's not crafting {yet}.

Honestly, I still can't believe she's here! As we settle into our routine with two children, I sit back and realize what a whirlwind the past two years have been.

I was talking to a friend at church the other day about juggling it all...life, husband, children, a mortgage, meal planning, etc. We both agreed that it's hard work to be a grown up. You can't skimp along by the skin of your teeth {well, you can but I don't recommend it}. We have to function and thrive and set the example. That's scary!!!

My children look to me to be IN CHARGE. That changes my perspective on a lot of things.

I think my brother-in-law summed it up best. He said he used to look forward to New Year's Eve because he wondered what his plans would be. And now he just thinks "I wonder when my W2 will come in so I can get started on my taxes."

Grownup-hood is real. And if you're not there yet; it's coming!
Get your coffee pots ready!!!
